Mandatory Maid Insurance and Security Bond

Medical Insurance
The maid's medical insurance coverage must be at least $15,000 per year, covering inpatient care and day surgery.
Personal Accident Insurance
The maid's Personal Accident Insurance should have a minimum coverage of $40,000. Compensation should be payable to her or her beneficiaries in case of accidents or injuries.
Security Bond
Singapore employers of Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) are required to provide a security bond of $5,000. This bond ensures that employers remain responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, timely salary payments, and repatriation of their helpers.
